In this Gaia Art Bar conversation, we welcome Diane Dunn, founder of Paz y Luz, a spiritual retreat center nestled in the heart of Pisac, Peru. Together, we explore what peace truly means in our fractured world. We share our experience of the ancient wisdom found in the Andes, and the practices that nourish our modern lives:
- The multidimensional symbolism of the chakana, or Andean cross.
- The sacred tradition of the despacho ceremony, an offering of gratitude to the Earth.
- The embodiment practice of Biodanza, where movement and music facilitate profound healing within the body and psyche.
More than a discussion, this episode is a call to awaken reciprocity in our own lives, not as an abstract theory or ideology, but as a practice. We reflect on how honoring indigenous wisdom, softening polarity, and opening to unfamiliar perspectives can become an inner activism that is subtle, sacred, and transformative.
World peace may not begin with nations, but with how we listen, and how we choose to relate to the Earth, to each other, and to the mystery that connects us.
