Following the 2017 Oroville Dam Spillway Incident, Sheriff Honea recognized the need for a dedicated Incident Management Team and a BCSO Emergency Manager. Since then, the team has undergone extensive training and put that experience to work during numerous emergencies.
In this episode of Cleared to Talk, Sheriff Honea sits down with BCSO Lt. Jim Beller to discuss the many ways we work to alert and inform our community during emergencies, and why community participation is such an important part of receiving those critical notifications.
