And that was only the beginning.
In this episode of the New Jersey Mat Chat Legends Series, former Paul VI standout and Rider NCAA All-American Adam Derengowski tells the incredible story of how hard work, dedication and persistence transformed his wrestling career.
Adam didn’t start wrestling until his freshman year of high school. After going winless his first season and then losing in the first round of districts as a junior, he made a decision: go all-in.
One year later, he found himself wrestling two-time defending state champion Dave Boncher for a New Jersey State Championship.
