Teresa Ryan is National President of The Society of St Vincent De Paul. Speaking to Ger Leddin she said “This Christmas, too many parents are wondering how they’ll manage the basics.”
Teresa told Ger that the number of calls to the Society were up 7% on last year. In this interview Teresa outlines the help the SVP along with the public can give those in need.
“At the end of October the number of calls for requests for help were up 7% on last year, and we expect overall requests for 2025 to exceed 250,000. Our Appeal asks the public to share the wonder of Christmas by helping families with the essentials—food on the table, a warm home and a little joy for children.”
