In this episode of Community Convener, we're exploring how different generations can learn from one another, work together, and build stronger organizations and communities.
Christy Chewning of Central Georgia EMC leads a thoughtful Community Dialogue on generational diversity in the workplace with Anita Hsu, co-owner of multiple Henry County businesses, including Gezzo's and Sweet Auburn BBQ; Judy McMurtry, CEO of JM EXCEL Consultant LLC, and Subramanya Hariprasad, a 2026 Henry Chamber PIN Intern. Together, they discuss the unique strengths, perspectives, communication styles, and expectations that each generation brings to the table, as well as practical ways organizations can bridge generational gaps and create cultures where everyone can thrive.
Following the discussion, Barbara Ingram, Director of Communications for the Henry County Chamber, shares a Connecting Point featuring a reflection and challenge designed to help listeners apply the conversation to their own workplaces and leadership journeys.
For this month's Tourism Trends, we take a step back in time with a look at the rich history of Henry County. As our nation approaches the celebration of America's 250th anniversary, we sit down with Laura Luker, Director of Tourism for Visit Henry, to reflect on the people, places, and events that helped shape the community we call home today.
We also hear from Lyndsay Theado of Strong Rock Christian School, our March Ambassador of the Month, during a special Member Minute conversation led by Leonard Robinson, Director of Membership for the Henry County Chamber.
As always, we'll share upcoming events, member news, and opportunities to stay connected with the Henry County Chamber.
