Anita Bharos talks about her journey to becoming a filmmaker and about her most recent documentary “Hindustani Immigration Through the Eyes of the Woman” (Hindoestaanse Immigratie Door De Ogen Van De Vrouw). She talk about how she was able to connect with a group of women who were raised in a time and culture where women’s voices weren’t valued and how she got them to open up and talk about their experience. She also talks about the reception the documentary received, including the reaction to choosing a white university professor to explain the history.
