We are honored to be sitting down with our special guest, Randy Bushy. in these two parts we aim to highlight his incredible faith and life story.
As a dedicated teaching elder at Bethel Gospel Chapel, Randy has been an integral part of the community for over 60 years. Having met his childhood sweetheart, and celebrating 46 years of marriage, his life is a testament to putting the Lord first and trusting the path that is created for you.
Randy’s roots run deep in the area, where he has lived since 1961. When he is not serving at the Chapel, he cherishes time with family, enjoys various sports, and spends time at camp or the cottage. As a lifelong fan of the Toronto Blue Jays, Randy has earned the nickname “Blue Jay” at camp for 25 years.
Professionally, Randy spent 33 years in the insurance corporate sector including being a general manager. He developed strong leadership, visioning and coaching skills. His extensive experience includes serving on numerous provincial and national industry committees and boards.
Randy’s faith journey began at the young age of 8 after pondering what it meant to be a believer. He committed his life to the Lord in a children’s meeting. He navigated challenges as a teenager and young adult, facing peer pressure and integrating his faith into a high-performance business environment.
A verse that resonates deeply with Randy is Luke 9:23, where Jesus says, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.” This verse encapsulates the essence of Randy’s life story.
