Folkestone – The Real Light At The End of The Tunnel

Folkestone - The Real Light At The End of The Tunnel
Podcast Description
Folkestone is a wonderful town on the south east coast of Kent. It has, for centuries, been known first as a fishing town, then a resort created by Victorian architects for visitors from far and wide to travel to, to promenade and for over a century, travel to France by sea. With the arrival of the Channel Tunnel, which Folkestone is the terminus of, came the erosion of the town and the disappearance of it's ferry business and the knock on effect on the town and many of it's small businesses. We talk to them to put them on-air. To be on a show email [email protected] / goto voxiferi.com

The kick Folkestone needed was to move into the sort of territory Camden Market has made it's own. To breathe important, brave and innovative new life into a sector of the regeneration of Folkestone. And Rob and Debs from Dandy Vintage, headquartered in Hastings where they founded their first flagship store have decided Folkestone is a new home for their ambitions and their amazing range of high quality retro clothing for men and women. Rob Dyson is at the helm of the newly opened store in Folkestone. His utterly infectious smile and his welcome buoyed only by the burst of colour and clever design thought that has created an implosion of smiles on the faces of anyone who walks through the door. Folkestone has never seen anything like it, and the belief and the enthusiasm that Rob brings, aligned to his capability of being able to make every single customer feel they matter is infectious.
