To keep things interesting, we split the crew 50-50 to argue positions completely opposite of how we actually feel. On the positive side, we give credit where it’s due: the movie’s gritty, classic Star Wars atmosphere, Bradford Young’s dynamic cinematography, Donald Glover’s incredibly charismatic turn as Lando, and the high-stakes tension of sequence highlights like the Kessel Run. On the critique side, we push back against some of the clunky camera choices, corny callback humor, how quickly Val was killed off, and that unfulfilled Maul cliffhanger ending.
