In this episode of The Lineage Legacy Podcast, host Francisco interviews Doug Anderson, a good friend and associate. The conversation focuses on Doug's Family history, his upbringing in Washington and Texas, and the early risks he took to build a career in government contracting.
Doug shares a unique family tradition where the first daughter of every generation is named Lucienne. This legacy spans at least five generations, from his great-grandmother who emigrated from France, down to his sister. Doug recounts a rare photograph featuring five generations of his family: his great-grandmother, grandmother, mother, himself, and his daughter.
In the leap to contracting inspired by his father, Doug spent months studying military terminology and applying for over 50 government contracting roles. This persistence led to a high-paying job in logistics that took him to war zones in Kuwait and Afghanistan for two and a half years. His main driver to continue building something in life was his two daughters. Having them early in life pushed his work ethic into ”overdrive” to ensure they had a better future.
