Can you Guess Who Died this week? The question hits a little closer to home this episode, as Jeff shares that since we last recorded, his mom and “biggest fan”, Brenda Miley, died. Jeff was ready to take to the mic – in more ways than one – knowing that healing comes from talking about loss, especially with the “Guess Who Died?!” crew. Then, hosts Jeff, Julia, and producer K.C. welcome guest Paige to talk about her own experience with losing her mom at the age of nine. Now in her 20’s, Paige has navigated most of her life with grief by her side, using different therapies (shoutout to art therapy!) and coping skills along the way. Find out what it was like for Paige to live in a blended family while also keeping her mom’s memory alive at every turn, and let it inspire you to connect in new and unique ways to those who aren’t with us anymore.
This week we’re talking about saving text messages, saying “Night Night” instead of goodbye, and chocolate milk on garlic bread (don’t knock it ‘til you try it!). We reference the book “Dead Mom’s Club” by Kate Spencer, and toast to our loved ones at the end of each episode in reference to a story that Casey Wilson tells in her book, “The Wreckage of my Presence.” Subscribe to Guess Who Died?! today and find out. . .who died!
