Doc Reina is a Filipina scientist, educator, science communicator, and community builder. She currently serves as the Director of the Space Science Missions Bureau at the Philippine Science Agency (PhilSA) and is the Co-Founder of Pinoy Scientists, a platform dedicated to giving voice to brilliant scientists from the Philippines. Her pioneering work earned her the 2023 Outstanding Young Scientist Award for Astrophysics from the National Academy of Science and Technology.
Doc Reina shares her journey from a childhood fascination with space to a career in astrophysics, discussing the barriers women face in the sciences and the vital importance of diversity in STEM.
