What does it take to launch a new church location with purpose, passion, and a laser-sharp focus on discipleship? Rick sits down with Pastor Christina Norman, Associate Pastor of First Baptist Church Woodstock and the current Location Pastor for Roswell Street Baptist Church. She shares her heart for ministry and her mission to help believers become lifelong imitators of Jesus.
Pastor Christina’s journey includes studying at Michigan State University, earning a Master of Divinity from Moody Bible Institute, and now leading Roswell Street Baptist Church into an exciting new chapter. She unpacks what it means to be a Christ-centered church that does life together inside and outside the walls.
Christina walks Rick through the four priorities driving the foundation of this new launch:
Building strong relationships and honoring Roswell Street’s rich history
Gathering together regularly around prayer, meals, and worship
Developing staff and volunteers into a unified team
Saturating the community with the love and hope of Jesus
Rick and Christina also dive into the current teaching series, “THIS IS US,” which highlights what a healthy disciple looks like: someone who follows Jesus for a lifetime, influences outsiders, seeks wise counsel, and lets Scripture lead the way… keeping it simple through prayer, proclamation, and making disciples who make disciples.
Plus, they talk honestly about the challenges behind the scenes, the steps to victory, and the big dream of launching fully in 2026.
If you love seeing how God grows His church brick-by-brick and heart-to-heart, this conversation will inspire you.
