Strong Comfort

Strong Comfort
Podcast Description
Welcome to Strong Comfort, a podcast inspired by Hebrews 6:18, which says that God desires that His people might have strong comfort.
My name is Pastor James Laning, and in this podcast I talk with some of my friends about how the teachings of our Lord are very comforting for us who believe in Him.
During this podcast we will be pointing out how what many are teaching today differs from the comforting teachings of Scripture that God’s people throughout history have confessed. We will be considering also how the comforting gospel of Jesus Christ is very practical, with many applications to our own life and our personal relationships with others.
Join us. And let us explore together what our Lord says, and see how His promises give us hope and strength, as He guides us in our journey on the path of life.

In this episode we discuss how God saves His people unconditionally. Many teach that those who are saved in Christ are saved because they have fulfilled one or more conditions. Scripture, however, teaches that God’s people are saved solely by His grace. My guests have had experience talking with others who have been taught that salvation is conditional. They also talk about what it was like for them personally to come to understand the comforting truth of salvation by grace alone.
