Alex Vella (’05) is a co-founder of Five Vineyard in Mernda, alongside his parents, Paul and Caroline, and siblings, Olivia and Sam. Alex explains how their transformed their family property, which once housed goats and cattle, into a vineyard with an on-site restaurant, cellar door and function centre. He reflects on what has been a very steep learning curve but one managed through the support of family.
