This Week’s 6 Stories
Lithium, Sodium & The Race to Power Our Future!
Source: Fully Charged
https://fullycharged.show/podcasts/podcast-373-lithium-sodium-and-the-race-to-power-our-future/
A podcast about batteries might sound incredibly niche, but that’s exactly why I wanted this story for Todd. This episode was recorded live at Latitude Festival and brought battery experts together to discuss everything from five-minute EV charging to sodium-ion technology and battery-powered planes. Todd built the Pharmacy Podcast Network around one highly specialized professional community. Battery technology shows us that the same opportunity exists almost everywhere. Sometimes the best way to grow a podcast isn’t to go broader. It’s to go deeper.
Learn About Podcasting at the Amherst Media Podcast Parlor
Source: Amherst Indy
https://www.amherstindy.org/2026/08/07/learn-about-podcasting-at-the-amherst-media-podcast-parlor/
Amherst Media is taking podcast discovery offline with its Summer Pod Parlor, bringing local podcasters and community members together at a coffee shop to talk about creating podcasts, exchange ideas, and answer questions. I love this because the podcast isn’t necessarily the final product. It’s the reason people gather. Todd has spent years building a community around pharmacy podcasting, so I want to ask him: What changes when we stop thinking about listeners as an audience and start thinking about them as a community?
Money Talks: ANA’s New Podcast Will Debut Live on the Pittsburgh Bourse
Source: Coin Week
https://coinweek.com/money-talks-anas-new-podcast-will-debut-live-on-the-pittsburgh-bourse/
The American Numismatic Association is launching a podcast entirely about coins, and they’re doing something incredibly smart. Instead of recording the first episode in a studio and then trying to find coin collectors, they’re recording it live at the World’s Fair of Money in Pittsburgh, surrounded by collectors, dealers, researchers, museums, and industry experts. Todd did something similar by building a media network specifically for pharmacy. So Todd, if you know exactly who your audience is, why wouldn’t you take the microphone directly to them?
The Pivot Podcast Hosts Live Show at the Paley Museum
Source AM NY
https://www.amny.com/sports/the-pivot-podcast-paley-museum-8-6-26/
The Pivot Podcast started in 2022 and has grown into an Emmy-nominated show with a passionate audience. This week, Ryan Clark, Fred Taylor, and Channing Crowder brought that community together for a live recording at the Paley Museum in New York. They even brought back their very first guest, Plaxico Burress. What caught my attention was Ryan Clark thanking the people who watched, commented, shared clips, and supported them along the way. Todd, when does someone stop being a listener and start becoming part of your community?
BBC’s Gangster Returns With “The Story of the Milkman”
Source: BBC
https://www.bbc.com/mediacentre/2026/gangster-story-of-the-milkman-bbc-five-live-podcast
BBC Radio 5 Live’s Gangster is back with a six-part investigation into Brian Brendan Wright and the 11-year hunt that eventually led to his arrest. The series includes investigators, smugglers, insiders, and people affected by the cocaine trade. But here’s what interests me for Todd: Gangster has built a recognizable brand around one specific category and continues …
