This week on Full Court Press: Beyond the Baseline, we sit down with Carol Argiro, Director of Advancement at Huckleberry House, to discuss the often-overlooked crisis of youth homelessness in Central Ohio.
Carol shares the inspiring mission of Huckleberry House, which has been providing shelter, support, and guidance to young people facing difficult situations since 1970. From their 24/7 Crisis Shelter for teens to transitional housing and counseling services, Huck House is a lifeline for youth navigating challenges like family conflict, poverty, and violence.
We also delve into Sleep Out 2025, Huck House’s annual fundraising and awareness event. Taking place on Friday, May 30, 2025, at the Grange Insurance Audubon Center, Sleep Out invites the community to spend one night outside in solidarity with the thousands of young people who experience homelessness in Franklin County each year.
