At this years EPIC.LAN we interviewed founder Jon Winkle who started the event back in 2003. It was never the plan for the event to grow in to a large scale business, it was just a hobby alongside a day job as a Head of Marketing in the sports and leisure industry. Jon used his history of marketing to create the perfect environment for LAN attendees to play games, have fun, and compete. The well organised events gained the respect of the gaming community and EPIC.LAN has grown into a gaming and esports technical support agency that works behind the scenes at some of the UK and Ireland’s biggest gaming events. Providing anything from network support, custom software solutions, broadcast production, event management, live streaming and esports operations.
