Joan Lunden is the author of her new memoir and book, “JOAN – Life Beyond the Script”. On the program, Joan shares her memories of growing up with a father who was a prominent Seventh-day Adventist cancer surgeon and mission-driven physician, who was tragically killed in a plane crash when she was only thirteen years old. She tells her story of becoming the featured graduation commencement speaker for the Loma Linda University School of Medicine, marking the 75th anniversary of her late father’s graduation from the medical school. As an ardent health and wellness advocate, Joan is the author of several books on the topics of diet and nutrition, women’s health issues, healthy living and cooking. Her popular health books and lectures incorporate her personal life stories and experiences, including being a breast cancer survivor. On the program, Joan also shares her thoughts about the importance of living a healthy and active life.
