Could you live more than five decades without realizing your brain may work differently?
In this episode of *Heart to Heart Hangout*, Grace and I have an unscripted conversation that started with one question: **Could I have undiagnosed ADHD?**
I started connecting some dots — difficulty concentrating in noisy environments, needing information presented a certain way, getting deeply absorbed in creative projects, struggling to process information in certain situations, and realizing that some of the ways I have learned to function may be more significant than I ever considered.
Grace shares from her own experience with ADHD, including being diagnosed as an adult, and what starts as me throwing observations at her turns into a much bigger conversation about creativity, learning, neurodivergence, self-advocacy, patience…and grace.
And somewhere along the way, somebody gets convicted enough to apologize. 😂
This is not a diagnosis, and we are not medical professionals trying to diagnose anyone. It is simply an honest conversation about noticing how differently people process the world — and why those differences deserve understanding rather than shame.
Sometimes what looks like somebody “not listening,” “not getting it,” or “doing things differently” may have a story behind it that you cannot see.
Maybe the bigger takeaway is not whether your brain fits a particular label.
Maybe it is learning to understand yourself better — and give other people a little more grace.
Welcome to *Heart to Heart Hangout* — real conversations, real laughs, and sometimes a little truth sneaks up on us.
