A podcast about weird horrible guys on the internet.
A funny thing about Shure podcast microphones is that if you are talking into one, you automatically become an expert on whatever thing you happen to be talking about. This is important because it helps explain why we decided to talk very confidently about pro wrestling in this episode even though none of us are big pro wrestling fans. We are, however, generally familiar with Hulk Hogan, because he was one of the most famous Americans of the past 50 years, and he also got Peter Thiel’s help to sue Yannick’s old workplace so hard that it had to shut down. We talk about Hulk Hogan as a media figure, perpetual frontman for the machinations of extremely powerful men, and try to determine, once and for all, if pro wrestling is fake.
Macho Pod is hosted by Yannick LeJacq, drew millard, and Yuri Rybak. Yuri also produced the episode, composed our theme music, and put together the sound collage you hear at the start.
