'The Display Kid' with Sam Visram
'The Display Kid' with Sam Visram
Podcast Description
It’s something I got called many years back in a derogatory way......
"You're the Display Kid that's come to make our store look pretty!"
But now I kind of like it.........
I guess all Visual Merchandisers can relate to the concept of being called: “The Display Kid”. We all have our own version.
For this reason I decided to set up a podcast series where I'll be connecting with leaders within the visual merchandising space. We'll be talking through the personal and professional stories that have shaped them into the creative humans they are now.

In this episode of The Display Kid, I sit down with Mark Bowler, Global Visual Experience Consultant, to explore the invisible side of VM. We dig into why the work feels like being a silent ninja in retail, how art and commerce collide, and what it takes to build credibility in a field that’s often misunderstood. It’s a conversation about subjectivity, data, and making the unseen seen.
