Good now revolutionaries— Evan and Alex opened with the big Rise Up news: the purple Arculus wallet is officially going to print. Fariba confirmed with Compose Secure, targeting November delivery — in time for Thanksgiving ”how's that crypto thing going” family conversations. Pre-orders still open. Jito's got a brand-new bag too: revamped jito.network with a dedicated BAM section (”the new framework for how Solana processes economic activity — verifiable ordering, pre-execution privacy, programmable block space”), a JTX section, and staking neatly tucked under Jito SOL. The JTX intern wrote a two-panel bottom-is-in / bottom-is-out newsletter that immediately spawned the show's next pitch idea: intern death-match, celebrity-death-match energy with substantive crypto-education combat.
News segment #1 — the Trezor customer-data leak. Wallets untouched, seed phrases untouched, but a third-party data-storage provider got breached and 13,900 users' full names, emails, phone numbers, and shipping addresses are now in the wild. This has happened to Trezor before — Alex has personally received TWO physical-mail phishing letters (one with a fake tamper-proof sticker). If a letter arrives from your hardware wallet manufacturer, throw it away. Related PSA: a very prominent Trezor phishing site paid its way to the top of Google's sponsored search results last week. Never click the sponsored link.
News segment #2 — Trump's World Liberty Financial received a conditional provisional bank charter from the OCC for a national trust bank called World Liberty Trust Company. What it means (and doesn't): USD1 stablecoin issuer + custodian consolidated into one federally-chartered institution the president's family owns. Ripple, Circle, Paxos are in the same charter class. Alex's Kohl's-cash analogy for the corporate-stablecoin future is razor-sharp. Then the extended riff on why the abuse-of-power framing is a live issue (military GMT covers this exact concept), why ”what about Nancy Pelosi” is a Snickers-bar-vs-Bernie-Madoff comparison, and Evan's Alan-in-the-comments clarifier: don't create false divides — the divide isn't left vs right, it's people vs power.
News segment #3 — Laura Shin's undercover North Korean hacker interview (”Say something negative about Kim Jong-un” → connection immediately drops). Roman Storm's Tornado Cash defense argument via Google Gemini being used for phishing document forgery: ”prosecute the criminal, not the toolmaker.” Plus Ken Suna (@tradeinvestsimplify) formally joining the show for a recurring Ken's Corner segment covering traditional finance, PyroFest Tybee Island October 8-10 as an in-person meetup, Alex's Airstream + yurt tiny-house journey, the pearl-farming environmental ethics tangent, and one more reminder that THE BEACON — the premium-only trading Discord — has its permanent home under the premium tab at rumshq.com.
