Last night on From The Ashes, we had the honor of sitting down with Michael Durant—a man whose story is etched into the history of our nation. You know the name. You know the Black Hawk. You know the fight in Mogadishu that tested the limits of courage and sacrifice.
Durant isn’t just a soldier from the pages of a history book—he’s a living reminder of what it means to endure the unendurable and still find a way forward. We dug into the lessons from that day, the cost carried by those who lived it, and the responsibility we all share to keep telling the truth about war, survival, and brotherhood.
This episode isn’t about hero worship. It’s about respect. It’s about listening to a man who has been to the edge and come back, not unscathed, but unbroken.
