66% of US workers report they are experiencing burnout. But what is this condition, really? And can we do about it?
In this episode, join Darin and Dosely as they provide an introduction to burnout: how to spot it, why it happens, and how we can respond.
We learn how to identify symptoms that indicate burnout and what populations and occupations are most susceptible. Darin and Dosely discuss the lifestyle and neurochemical causes of burnout: why it begins and how it impacts our brains and bodies. Then, we hear some tips for how to help ourselves and others if we suspect we are experiencing burnout.
Do you wake up exhausted regardless of how much you rest? Do you dread the upcoming week each Sunday? Have you grown cynical or lost passion for a mission that once excited you? If so, you might be at risk for burnout. We hope this episode is a starting point on the road to resilience and rest.
