Allison Budschalow is a sorta working-class Mongolian woman from Philly. Michael Gast is a sorta rich white guy, born and raised in San Francisco.
We’re two fundraisers who joined forces because we love talking about money. And class. And left movements.
On Movement Money, hear real talk, from two insiders in progressive-left movement building, about money stories and mutual interests, fundraising and philanthropy, and what the fuck we do about bringing people together across class to change our world. Join Allison and Mike as we make the taboo subjects of class and money our friends.
Our guests are activists and organizers from across the class spectrum – people who are grappling with issues of money and class as they build movements to address key issues like climate change, protecting democracy, fair housing and reproductive justice. You’ll hear from working class leaders, middle class organizers AND wealthy inheritors with trust funds.
Movement Money is part of Organize the Rich Radio, the audio feed for Organize the Rich, a multimedia project, sharing interviews, stories and analysis about what it means to organize the rich as part of multiracial working class led movements.
