Host Maria Birch-Morunga sits down with Cyndi Makabory, a West Papuan activist and lawyer, and Yasbelle Kerkow, an Australian-born Fijian artist and emerging documentary filmmaker – the producers of ”Kal Angam-Kal: Stories from West Papua,” a powerful documentary exhibition. They share their collaborative creative process working with community and co-producer Folole Tupuola, the importance of intergenerational storytelling, and the power of art as a tool for activism, highlighting the resilience and strength of West Papuan and Melanesian communities.
