In this episode of The Disappointing Friend Podcast , we’re doing something a little different… again. It’s the final episode of the season—yep, this is The Wrap Up.
After a season full of ghostings, growth, and group chat chaos, Fatuma and Juliet are pressing pause—but not for good. We’ll be back later this year, bigger, better, and with even more friendship mess to unpack. But before we take our break, we’re slowing down to reflect on what this season has meant.
We get into the highs (Fatuma’s inbox exploding, unexpected reunions, and our one dedicated listener in South Korea), the lows (burnout, editing fatigue, and Fatuma learning—slowly—that criticism might not actually kill her), and everything in between.
Juliet opens up about some old hurt she’s finally ready to release, and Fatuma reflects on the whirlwind of connection this podcast has sparked. And of course, we hand out well-deserved flowers—especially to Juliet, for her heroic late-night editing marathons. (Fatuma showed up with snacks. Sometimes.)
This episode is part celebration, part therapy session, and 100% love letter to all of you who have been listening, laughing, crying, and cringe-nodding along with us.
We’re so proud of what we’ve built—and we’re just getting started.
🎧 Grab your tea, your journal, or just your headphones. Let’s wrap this thing up. For now.
