In this episode of Wellbeing Waves, I’m joined by the inspiring Lana, founder of Fitstride Coaching, to talk all things running, resilience, and mental strength. Lana didn’t start running until she was 30 – but within a year, she ran her first marathon to raise money for Parkinson’s in honour of her uncle. Since then, she’s completed over 20 marathons and ultras, qualified for Boston and Chicago, and secured a coveted London Marathon spot.
We dive into what running has given her mentally – from managing emotions to building confidence and navigating the inevitable lows. Lana also shares how she supports other runners through her coaching, helping them go beyond the physical and tap into the powerful mindset needed to keep moving forward.
Whether you're a seasoned runner or someone curious about the mental benefits of movement, this conversation is full of insight, encouragement, and motivation.
