Berit Reiss-Andersen is a Norwegian lawyer and author with a legal career spanning more than four decades. She began her career as a prosecutor with the Oslo Police before establishing her own legal practice and later joining DLA Piper. Berit has also held major leadership roles within the profession, including serving as President of the Norwegian Bar Association and as State Secretary to the Norwegian Minister of Justice. Internationally, she is widely known for her work with the Norwegian Nobel Committee, the body responsible for awarding the Nobel Peace Prize, where she served for 12 years, including as chair from 2017 to 2023, and as a member of the board of the Nobel Foundation until 2025.
