Podcast Description

There and Back Again is the story of host Jared Parisi's road trip from coastal New Hampshire to Iowa City to tell the stories of five really old bars. Some of the bars featured on this podcast have been open since prohibition ended in the 1930's. It is a memoir of sorts; a piece of modern travel writing, audibly narrated of course, and featuring interviews with Iowa City locals centered around five really old bars.

Written, narrated, and edited by Jared Parisi

Original music composed and performed by Jon-Patrick Scott

Special thanks to Nick & Nina, Janet, Cara, and all the people who warmly welcomed me into their bars and their town and allowed me to interview them.
