MATTER and SHAPE is a design salon that takes place in the Jardin de Tuileries on the occasion of Paris Fashion Week. The salon invites exhibitors, great and small, to present exceptional projects and products in an elevated setting, celebrating the culture of global design today. The Jil Sander Design Talks seek to catalyse intersectional conversations on and around design, engaging with the topic both conceptually and philosophically as well as exploring this from the scale of the individual object to that of the pavilion. MATTER and SHAPE is a design salon that takes place in the Jardin de Tuileries on the occasion of Paris Fashion Week. The salon invites exhibitors, great and small, to present exceptional projects and products in an elevated setting, celebrating the culture of global design today.
During the opening days of the Venice Architecture Biennale 2025, Jil Sander hosted an exclusive event at its Venice Flagship in San Marco. Immersed in a bespoke installation, guests explore the design and craft behind the Jil Sander STONE Collection. Created and produced in collaboration with Venetian glass-makers Venini, and Milan and Rotterdam-based design studio Formafantasma, the collection of four vases – limited to nine pieces per shape, is an homage to the artistic heritage of the city and to an experimental approach. A progressing fusion of design, technology, and the handmade. In this episode, moderator Dan Thawley explores, together with Formafantasma and Silvia Damiani, President of Venini, the design and craft behind the collection.
