Sheriff/Undersheriff David Walcher is a Colorado law enforcement legend, a man who has dedicated his life to keeping our streets safe. Recently retired after more than 40 years in law enforcement, his career took him from joining the FBI at just 21 years old to serving with the Jefferson County, Arapahoe County, and Douglas County Sheriff’s Offices.
In this episode, he shares the cases that still stay with him today—from the Columbine High School mass shooting to a chilling triple homicide in which the killer answered a phone call from law enforcement while officers were searching for him.
Sheriff Walcher also offers his unfiltered reaction to Governor Jared Polis’s recent clemency decision involving a man convicted of attempting to kill a police officer.
