Series 2 of Oops I Peed My Pants is all about helping women get moving again — whether it’s your first time, post-baby, post-menopause, or you’ve just lost confidence thanks to pelvic floor symptoms, pain, fear, or embarrassment.
In this episode, we’re joined by Hugh Williams, founder of SHEULTRA, to talk about how the event started — and why it’s grown into something much bigger than “just a race”.
Hugh shares his personal story: from being a “walker and talker” ultra runner, to a life-changing diagnosis of inoperable neuroendocrine cancer, open-heart surgery in early 2020, and the moment during COVID isolation when an idea landed:
create an ultra-style event for women of all levels — with women’s health conversations built in.
SHEULTRA isn’t about elite vibes or cut-off anxiety. It’s built for walkers, hikers, runners, first-timers and experienced athletes — with a strong community spirit and practical details that remove the “personal excuses” that stop women showing up.
We also talk about the SHEULTRA Feel Good 10K (in March, on International Women’s Day) — designed so anyonecan take part: walk it, jog it, run it, treadmill it, do laps of your garden… it all counts. There’s also a virtual option.
And yes, we’ve got links in the notes so you can sign up.
In this episode, we cover:
- Why Series 2 is focused on getting women moving again with the right information
- How SHEULTRA grew fast: 500 women (2024) → 1,500 (2025) → 3,000 (2026)
- Why no cut-offs changes everything for confidence
- The Feel Good 10K + virtual option (and what it includes)
- How SHEULTRA uses the event as a platform for women’s health education, including breast-check support via QR/video
- The “small details” that make a massive difference: privacy, safety, hygiene, and support on course
