Bio
Professor David Halahmy is a history professor at Cypress College, where he has taught since 2000 and served as department chair. He specializes in U.S. History, Western Civilizations, and Middle Eastern History. A UCLA graduate, he is known for his work on Holocaust education and advocacy against antisemitism. Born in Israel to Iraqi Jewish refugee parents, he has lectured widely in academic and community settings. He also runs a popular YouTube channel and Facebook page, David and History for the Ages, offering free, engaging history resources to students, educators, and lifelong learners.
