Day 2 of the #ShootUrShot Workshop at AMPD Studios, in collaboration with Resistance Fest, brought another wave of raw talent and elevated energy as 50 more selected artists stepped into the spotlight out of over 1,000 entries. The stage was set for a high-stakes showcase where creativity, confidence, and performance were put to the ultimate test.
Shembas Mhlabawonke from Soweto Magz was once again on the ground, conducting interviews with some of the entrants to capture their stories, motivations, and the journey that led them to this moment. These conversations highlighted the passion behind the performances and gave deeper context to the voices shaping the next wave of South African music.
The day also featured a powerful judging panel including OkaySwisher, Priddy Ugly, and Herc Cut The Lights, bringing a blend of artistry and industry experience to the selection process. A standout moment was the exclusive workshop hosted by DJ Switch, where Herc Cut The Lights broke down the making of his latest single “Askies Askies” featuring Priddy Ugly, offering rare insight into his creative process.
As the competition intensified, so did the ambition with artists vying for a R10,000 home studio and a chance to perform at Resistance Fest.
This episode captures the growth, lessons, and defining moments of Day 2, where talent met opportunity once again.
