WE ARE ENDANGERED SPECIES
WE ARE ENDANGERED SPECIES
Podcast Description
It all started as a catchy slogan on a t-shirt, handpainted for one of Zoltán’s public appearances in the Gulf region. Later, he turned it into a speech that he gave at the annual conference of the International Quorum of Motion Picture Producers, where he was invited by his long-time friend, Balázs. The two decided to turn it into a non-profit brand, and many others joined in.
We Are Endangered Species isn’t a fancy non-profit. It won’t ask you to donate money to solve someone else’s problems. It’s more like a movement, and you’re already a part of it, whether you like it or not.

“We’re not tree-huggers, we won’t sail across the Atlantic to blame you for ruining the planet, we won’t deface classic paintings or block traffic in your city. We don’t do politics, either. We just want to give you the facts, stories, and context about the slow apocalypse we’re living in. Maybe that can help make this world a better place, so humanity doesn’t just survive, but thrives.”
Art is throwing soup, cracking jokes, and melting ice before the planet does. In this episode of “We Are Endangered Species” we dive into how painters, filmmakers, comedians and activists are turning the climate crisis into protest, poetry and punchlines. Is art still just “raising awareness”—or has it become the sharpest weapon against those pretending nothing’s on fire? Together with our guests Matyas Misetics and Peter Grundberg we ask: can culture actually shift the climate curve, or are we just decorating the apocalypse? Tune in if you want less greenwashing, more rebellion—and a brutally honest look at whether art can still change anything before it’s too late.
