Episode 1 of the revamped HobbesKast Podcast. In this episode I interview the creators of the indie fighting game Battle Craze. Battle Craze is a 2D Fighting Game made in the Ikeman game engine featuring an unorthodox set of characters containing 3 side or versions per character that feature game play differences and unique craze abilities per side. We discuss about early inspirations, philosophy concerning the design of Battle Craze mechanics and priority on crafting diverse characters. We also talk about wearing many hats on an ambitious project and experience with voice acting for characters. We finish off the talk with personal favorite designs of the game and a discussion of future plans for the project.Play Battle Crazehttps://www.playbattlecraze.com/Battle Craze Wiki:https://wiki.gbl.gg/w/Battle_Craze!!/TyrantBattle Craze Discord:https://discord.gg/uxehajMh8tJanis' Patreon link (Best way to support Battle Craze):https://www.patreon.com/TheJanistopolisVee's Kofi (Contributing Developer)https://ko-fi.com/adeleineveeScaredCrow's Combo Guides:https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLU4NaxYi9n6XvjLvv83LZScduza7BR7JN&si=lr6yRvzNonFHyStyGreat indie fgc X account (I discovered Battle Craze through him):https://x.com/mrmkl_Merkava footage from UNIB courtesy @SeaLeafDojo Mugen References:Aiduzzi CharactersShades of Manhattan Ahuron website (Ironfist Ryu & Corpse): http://spaceace.web.fc2.com/Fighters History Dynasties: https://kamekaze.world/wm2/I'll be returning to stream on Twitch Soon!
