In this new episode of the Soar Beyond Podcast, we begin with an in-depth pupil-led interview with Mr Sowerby, co-headteacher, who talks about his leadership journey, his love of maths and history and what makes Whittle such a special community.
In Book Talk, members of the library quiz team explore The Secret of Golden Island by Natasha Farrant, discussing themes of friendship, hope and resilience and sharing their favourite moments as they prepare for their upcoming quiz.
We then hear from Mrs Smith and the Whittle Warblers Choir as they discuss the power of music, wellbeing, and performance. Pupils share their experiences of Young Voices, singing for charity and how the choir has helped them build confidence, friendships and joy through song.
Finally, Year 2 pupils reflect on their autumn term theme ‘The Big Smoke’, sharing memories from their London trip and what they learned about landmarks, the River Thames and the Great Fire of London.
Another uplifting celebration of leadership, learning and finding your voice at Whittle. 🎙️📚🎶
