Capt. Jaron Thomas is a USCG-licensed fishing guide and the owner of Fishing in LA with Capt. Jaron Thomas, a premier charter service based in southeast Louisiana. After jumping straight into the fishing industry out of high school, Jaron worked his way up from deckhand to captain, turning a love for the outdoors into a full-time business. Jaron joins Ethan and Kaden Lemieux to talk about what it really takes to build a life on the water—from learning the waters of Louisiana to coastal conservation and running a charter business. We explore the rewards and challenges of being a full-time guide, how he connects people to the beauty of Louisiana’s coastal fishery, and his love for guiding others to catch monster redfish and trout.
