What happens when a handful of volunteers decide a whole city's students deserve something better?
In this episode of More Than Debate, we go back to 2005 — when debate was thriving in Boston's suburbs and nowhere to be found in Boston Public Schools. A small group of volunteers decided that wasn't good enough. What started with borrowed classrooms and weekend tournaments became Boston Debate League: a thriving nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth voice. We trace the journey from grassroots startup to citywide movement, and ask why the mission matters now more than ever. This episode features a conversation with:
