Last year in St. John’s, a tent city was formed in front of the Confederation building, an alternative housing project that was eventually moved to Bannerman Park. For many, this was their home, their place of connection, and a place of safety. So, following its destruction, the unhoused population of St. John’s was drastically displaced.
In this week’s episode, John Harris interviews Reese, organizer with Tent City for Community, about his experience with Tent City, the struggles he’s faced with homelessness, and the future of the movement.
