TRANSCRIPT: Rep. Rashida Tlaib (9-16-2026)
SCENE:Ask a Pol founder Matt Laslo walks with Rep. Rashida Tlaib from the US Capitol to her office across the street on the last days the House of Representatives was in session until after the Nov. 3 election.
Rashida Tlaib: “Have a plan to vote. It’s interesting to see so many folks still get a ballot and say, ‘I’m not sure about it,’ but we also have mapped out where ballot boxes are.”
Matt Laslo: “Ahuh?”
RT: “Where to drop off the boxes. Like we, we literally map it out and tell them, ‘these are where the ballot box is,’ which is important because you see Elon Musk now he’s having his own website.”
ML: “Yeah.”
RT: “Misleading information, giving wrong information. I mean, this is cheating. And it’s also something that should be illegal.”
ML: “Yeah?”
RT: “You know, should be arrestable.”
ML: “Yeah?”

RT: “So yeah, we’re just going to combat it by being ahead of them 10 steps.”
ML: “Yeah?”
