Kris Pardo is an Astronomer, Cosmologist, and an Assistant Professor of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Southern California. With a PhD in Astrophysical Sciences from Princeton University, Kris specializes in using astrophysical data to explore gravitational waves and test theories of dark matter.
Before joining USC, Kris contributed as a Postdoc Research Scholar at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. His research has been featured on science dot org, PBS Space Time, and he's published many research papers. Beyond the lab, Kris is passionate about teaching and outreach, making astrophysics accessible to everyone.
At USC, he's taught an introductory course called The Universe, and currently teaches Advanced Extragalactic Astronomy, which dives into how galaxies form and evolve. Kris also enjoys the outdoors as an avid hiker, trail runner, and rock climber.
