James McKenna is an artist who has dealt with fallout from bipolar depression most of his life. Relationships don’t last, careers don’t last, and depression is just plain awful. But over time he’s recognized patterns in his losses and patterns in building anew after each. These patterns are the basis for four key ways to get the most benefit out of the worst times in your life. James’s art comes out of his own rough times but offers hope in the form of memory. For collectors, the bold forms and hard materials are reminders of hard times they have left behind.
