At just 16 years old, Carly Patterson made history at the 2004 Athens Olympics, becoming the first American woman in 20 years to win the all-around gold! Her victory helped spark a new era of U.S. women’s gymnastics and made her a household name in the gymnastics world!
Now, Carly joins us on PODNASTICS to share her journey — from her early beginnings, to the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad meet, to standing on top of the Olympic podium, and how she continues to inspire young gymnasts everywhere.
This is one of our favorite episodes yet — we’re so excited for you to get to know Carly if you haven’t somehow heard these stories!
