This week on Telling Tinder Tales, Chris O’Neill and Thomasin Lockwood are joined by dating blogger Vic Smith for a hilarious story about lying about her age on Hinge, dating a younger man, and one spectacularly disastrous second date.
After deciding to change her age on Hinge from 43 to 37, Vic suddenly finds herself inundated with matches — including Luke, a gorgeous 31-year-old who seems almost too good to be true. Their first date goes brilliantly, but the second date takes a painful turn when a trip to the skate park ends with Vic crashing hard, injuring her knee and being rushed to A&E.
With a suspected torn ACL, a bionic knee brace, crutches and a trip to the pub still somehow on the cards, Vic has to navigate the aftermath of her skateboarding disaster.
The conversation also dives into dating in your 40s, dating younger men, age-gap relationships, lying about your age on dating apps, Hinge and modern online dating, and whether age really matters when it comes to finding the right person.
Expect plenty of laughs, dating app disasters, questionable decisions, skateboarding injuries and a surprisingly heartwarming story about a man who passes the ultimate second-date test.
