Robert Dover is a 6 time Olympian and 4 time Olympic Bronze medalist. He has served as the Technical/ Coach Advisor for the Canadian National team and later as the Technical Advisor/ Chef D’equipe for the US Dressage Team. He is a founding member of the Equestrian Aids Foundation and is a great advocate for developing programs to train, mentor and fund youth interested in Dressage. For this episode I read his book “The Gates to Brilliance”. We will look at his life and career that led him to where he is today and discuss the major themes of his book. These include surrounding yourself with good mentors and trainers, learning a riding system, and using visualization.
