A modernised retelling of Mary Shelley’s classic novel, “The Frankenstein Files” combines modern and gothic horror sensibilities, interweaving the past and present in the parallel lives of its protagonists.
In this season break episode, Connor is joined by a special guest – online cosplayer and video essayist MaukusNoise – to discuss Guillermo Del Toro's recent Frankenstein adaptation, and the symbolism, craft and care that can be interpreted in the film and its creation! Alongside a discussion of the film, the pair discuss Mauku's upcoming fantasy-adventure audio-drama The Black Dog, and delve into their experiences with creating a podcast; adapting to the medium, how other creative experiences shape that process, and the creatively challenging trials of writing, editing, casting and more.
