Sci-Tech High School’s official podcast program ran by STHS journalism students.
In this episode of The Raven Report, host 11th grader Maya Hussein “Ena” leads a conversation with Levi Mears and STHS journalism teacher Mr. Jasso about the upcoming DreamWorks animated film titled Forgotten Island. Set for a theater-only release this September, the movie is gaining attention for its representation of Filipino culture and mythology, which is a rare sight in mainstream animation. The panel discusses the film’s vibrant visual style and its potential to set a new standard for original storytelling in the industry.
We are excited to officially welcome Maya Hussein to the team as she hosts her very first episode with The Raven Report. Maya will be taking over as our lead podcast host for the 2026-2027 school year. This transition marks a new chapter for our program as our current lead host, Collin Kerouac, prepares to graduate.
